This guide will help you to start saving tons of money at Publix.

1) TYPES OF ADS
WEEKLY AD: Runs from Wednesday thru Tuesday OR Thursday thru Wednesday for some. It depends what state you are in.
GREEN FLYER: Runs for 2 weeks starts on Saturday and ends on Friday.
PURPLE FLYER: Runs for 2 weeks starts on Saturday and ends on Friday.
2) TYPES OF SALES
ADVERTISED SALE: The sale is printed in the ad. (We can ask for a rain check if the sale product is out of stock)
UNADVERTISED SALE: The sale is NOT in the ad. ( No rain check for unadvertised sale)
3) RAIN CHECK
If your store is out of the sale item (any advertised sale item from weekly, green and purple flyers) get a raincheck. Go to customer service and ask for a raincheck for the item you wanted. They will fill out a piece of paper with the item details and price. Then you can come back another day  and buy that item at the sale price by giving the cashier the raincheck. Publix rain check expires in 30 days.
FAQ: I have a rain check and a coupon for an item, but the coupon is now expired, though it was valid on the date the rain check was issued. Can I still use the coupon on the item?
Yes, Publix will accept the coupon that was valid on the date the rain check was issued.
4) UNDERSTANDING THE SALE
B2G1 OR B2G2 OR B3G3 OR B1G2 AND SO ON
If the sale is B2G1, It doesn’t matter if you are in TRUE BOGO OR HALF BOGO, Â you have to buy THREE. The same with B2G2 OR B1G2 and so on.
10/$10 OR 20/$10 OR 10/$5 AND SO ON
If the sale is 10/$ 10, you don’t have to buy 10. Buy (1) and pay for 1 for $1.
If the sale is BOGO in TRUE BOGO (which is Florida) you have to buy TWO.
The rest of the states (Alabama, Georgia, Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia) is HALF BOGO. Which means BOGO sale ringS up 50% OFF. HALF BOGO states don’t have to buy two in BOGO sale. Buy (1) and pay for 1.
AUTO DEDUCT SALE:
Auto-deduct sale is automatically deducted at the checkout.
How do you know if the sale is auto deduct? Auto-deduct is in the weekly sale only. For example, when the sale says $7 OFF 2, It means you have to buy TWO. The auto deduct will automatically be deducted when the cashier rings up the second item.
5) PUBLIX COUPON POLICY
Publix  limit coupon redemption to eight of the same coupons per day, per household. (Unless the coupon has limit restrictions)
FREE ITEM SALE:
For a buy-one-get-one-free (BOGO) offer, each item is considered a separate purchase. (It means we can use coupons even on the free item)
DOLLARS OFF TOTAL COUPON:
Dollars-off-total-order coupons will be limited to one Publix and one competitor’s coupon per day, per household. The total order before coupons must be equal to or greater than the combined purchase requirements indicated on the coupon(s) presented. We consider competitor’s coupons for dollars off groups of items to be a Dollars-off-total-order coupon and will only allow one per day, per household.
Money due back to the customer at the end of a transaction involving coupons will only be provided on a Publix gift card.

7) COUPON STACKING FAQ
Q: How many coupons can we use on one item?
A: Publix only accepts a manufacturer’s coupon and either a Publix or a competitor’s coupon on the same item. Maximum of two coupons per item.
Q: Can a store coupon, competitor coupon, and manufacturer’s coupon all be used for one item?
A: No. A manufacturer’s coupon can be combined with a Publix coupon or with a competitor’s coupon, but not both.
Q: Will Publix take a manufacturers coupon attached to an item along with an additional manufacturer’s coupon?
A: Sorry, but no. Publix will take an additional Publix or competitor’s coupon, but we can only take one manufacturer’s coupon for an item, regardless of where the coupon came from.
Q: Can a “$1 off the purchase of two items” manufacturer’s coupon be used with another manufacturer’s coupon?
A: No. When the manufacturer issues a “$1 off the purchase of two items” coupon, it requires the purchase of two items. So, because you have to purchase both items to meet the coupon’s requirements, a manufacturer’s coupon has already been applied to both items.
Q: Can a BOGO manufacturer’s coupon be used with another manufacturer’s coupon?
A: No. When the manufacturer issues a BOGO coupon, it requires the purchase of two items. So, because you have to purchase both items to meet the coupon’s requirements, a manufacturer’s coupon has already been applied to both items.
